Reacting to this historic achievement, Prabhas who gave life to the character of Baahubali wrote an emotional post and said he cannot thank director SS Rajamouli enough for giving him a character of a lifetime like Baahubali. “To all my fans, a big hug to each one of you for all the love that you all have showered on me. I have tried my best to go through a lot of the efforts that you all have put to express your affection for me from different parts of India and even overseas. I am truly overwhelmed with everything. “The journey of ‘Baahubali’ has been a long one but among the few things that I will take away from this, is all of you. Lots of love back to you all,” wrote Prabhas, reported PTI.
Meanwhile, film’s writer and SS Rajamouli’s father K V Vijayendra Prasad told PTI, “People are ready to see a film irrespective of who has made it and who is in it. This kind of response encourages several people to tell stories as there are people to support them. The film has set the bar in every which way and I am very happy about that,” said Prasad who helmed both the parts of the magnum opus. “We had a gut feeling that the second part will be a bigger hit than the first part. But it will be this big is something that we hadn’t thought.”
